My son built

a model

double helix--

the building block

of D.N.A.

 

He proudly

called me

in the room

to see

his creation

of that

which creates

life itself,

unaware

of the irony.

 

In my head

all I could think was,

“This shit’s crazy!

You came

from my balls, man!”
